The StartUp/MoveUp Morris initiative is the brainchild of a small group of entrepreneurs and innovators doing business from their Morris County locations. The mission of the initiative is to create an environment for innovative organizations to grow and thrive. In partnership with local politicians, the Morris County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) and the private sector, this group launched StartUp/MoveUp Morris.

StartUp/MoveUp Morris has begun with a public/private partnership to open a co-working space in downtown Chatham, called the Station. This is only the first with plans to expand the initiative to several points in the western part of the county.

Startups can blossom in Morris County where they will enjoy a number of competitive advantages including the access to unique opportunities, availability of talent, and a great quality of life. The initiative is designed not only to the benefit of the startup, but each community will benefit from the economic impact of the new enterprises.

In addition to powerful allies like the Morris County Chamber of Commerce and the MCEDC and the resources they can bring, young businesses have access to opportunities such as sales, partnerships, mergers and acquisitions with over 50 members of the Fortune 500 headquartered here in Morris County.
